Nov 3, 2015- An assailant belonging to an armed group was killed in a gun fire between the armed group and police at Taplejung district on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Samir Limbu of Santhakra VDC. Two police personnel sustained bullet injuries during the confrontation.

According to DSP Shantiraj Koirala, the armed group opened the fire at a team of Dovan Area Police Office led by Inspector Devi Phago at Thebetar in Santhakra-6 on Tuesday. Limbu was killed in a reply-firing from the police.
Police also confiscated socket bomb, combat dress, gun powder and 14 thousand rupees from the incident site. Police said they are looking for other 5-6 assailants who fled the scene.
